CHOKERS
If you're age 13 to 40, you have most likely worn a choker necklace at one point or another. But something you might have not known was the choker was originally worn during the French Revolution. (I'm sure there is an earlier date, but in modern times we will be referencing the French). Women would wear red ribbons and tie them around their necks to pay homage to those who died under the blade of a guillotine.
From then on the Choker necklace can be seen throughout history in different fashions. The most prevalent time you can remember is probably the 90's. We saw them everywhere from Claire's and body glitter to "goths" to Gwyneth Paltrow at the 1999 Academy Awards. We also saw them on the runways and have continued to see them in and out of street fashion, especially, for the last 25 years. The spike in popularity for this trend in recent years came along with the rebirth of all 90's trends. When celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid started to rock scrunchies, mom jeans, and chokers once again. (source)

CHEETAH!
Now-a-days cheetah print is seen all over the place and almost considered a neutral in some women's wardrobes. Wearing a red lip and a powerful cheetah pump can make a woman fearless! If the runway tells us anything, cheetah was all over the 2018 catwalks. Raf Simons used his own take on the print in his collections for Dior and Burberry to create visual texture. (via)
In the 90's cheetah was seen as a statement piece. Being worn as jackets and the eye-catching piece in an outfit. Then in the early 2000's we saw a huge craze for the print coming from younger girls thanks to Disney and their Cheetah Girls. This showed the print could be personalized and done in different colors.
As I sit writing this while on my school's campus I saw one girl wearing a big cheetah fury coat, and another girl wearing a cheetah scarf. No matter what your style is, cheetah will probably go perfectly with your favorite outfit. (source)

CROP TOPS
Along with all the other 90's trends that have made a comeback in the last few years, crop tops might have made the biggest. The modern versions definitely have their own look, but still give off the 90's style when desired.
It look a while for this trend to originally appear in western styles due to the changing climates. The crop top originated in the east. One of the most noteworthy looks is belly dancers outfits. When belly dancers performed at the World's Fair in 1893, the crop top was shown off to the western customers.
Now we see crop tops everywhere and in all different styles. (source)
